Students getting in the Holiday Spirit! Students in the Komodo Dragons class took some time to enjoy the season, embracing the holiday cheer and found ways to make fun holiday activities and decorations educational! Students were really happy as they made festive artwork, creating reindeer out of foam boards, creating new lengths in garland, and hanging all decorations within the classroom spreading true Christmas cheer! In case you are counting, there's only 16 days until Christmas....Happy Holidays from MNCS!

Let's make sushi! Students from the Monkey's classroom learned the art to making sushi last Friday. Made with seaweed, rice, carrots, cucumber, tuna, shrimp, and one of the class favorites- wasabi! Some students were brave in their endeavors, experimenting with the cultural flavors and spice. Even with the diverse flavor and taste profiles present, it was a fun way to learn how to make cultural cuisine and technique in a cooking art form. Students also enjoyed some delicious food in the process!

ELF the musical was a holiday hit! Students attended the joyous musical full of holiday cheer and excitement last Thursday! It set the scene for the spirit of the season and students had a fun time enjoying the music of this holiday classic! Students also enjoyed visiting a local playground after and was such a fun day for all MNCS students! We are grateful for the grant that was provided that made this venture possible- made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council (PLRAC), thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund"

Goblins, Ghouls and Ghosts, oh my! This years' MNCS Trick-Or-Treat was SPOOKtacular! Elementary students participated in our annual trick-or-treating event, visiting local businesses in downtown Henderson. Whether dressed in cute, funny, or scary costumes, both kids and adults alike enjoyed and exhibited the Halloween spirit parading downtown.
