One of our students shared a glimpse of the project she is working on where she is growing bacteria from different swabs around the school. She also has a microscope so you can see the bacteria close up. So neat!

Students investigated the science of sound today in Mrs. K's class! They learned that sound is a mechanical wave that requires a medium to be conducted. They used paper cups and string to represent this. They discovered that the string was the medium for conducting sound through vibrations and had fun experimenting with other classmates!!

The Swans class had fun meeting a student's mule and donkey today named Hank and Willy! It was part of a project called "Project: Me!" where students could tell anything about themselves and their life and present it to the class! As part of one of our Swan student's presentation, students were able to learn about the animals and to ask all sorts of questions. They enjoyed petting the animals and some were able to feed them apples. What an awesome project!

Advisor Jake went to a football scrimmage to watch some of our students! They are all playing on the 7th grade team for the LSH Giants.

Experience Friday - Dungeons and Dragons 101!
The students had a blast creating their characters and learning how to play this well known adventure game!

Presentation Time... students enjoyed presenting their Timeline Projects to the class!

Students in the Woodland Critters class have been working on their Timeline Projects reflecting on past and present moments. They enjoyed sharing some photos with other classmates and talking about memories! It is a great way for students to learn the passage of time reflected through life events and fun to see all the photos and hear the stories behind them!

Students in the Frogs and Critters classroom colorfully painted with apples today and learned how an apple got it's star, based on the traditional Waldorf Apple Story. Mrs. K read them the story and showed that when you cut open an apple, you will find a star deep inside. Students were thrilled to see the hidden surprise and stamp their own apple star masterpiece!

Students did everything from cracking the eggs, kneading the dough, forming the different pasta shapes, and the best part will be taste-testing! Making pasta is a good way to show students the science behind food in a fun and delicious way!!
