Presentation Time... students enjoyed presenting their Timeline Projects to the class!

Students in the Woodland Critters class have been working on their Timeline Projects reflecting on past and present moments. They enjoyed sharing some photos with other classmates and talking about memories! It is a great way for students to learn the passage of time reflected through life events and fun to see all the photos and hear the stories behind them!

Students in the Frogs and Critters classroom colorfully painted with apples today and learned how an apple got it's star, based on the traditional Waldorf Apple Story. Mrs. K read them the story and showed that when you cut open an apple, you will find a star deep inside. Students were thrilled to see the hidden surprise and stamp their own apple star masterpiece!

Life Lessons- Exploring Pasta-bilities!
The older MNCS Elementary students enjoyed learning how to make fresh homemade pasta from scratch today for Genius Hour! Students did everything from cracking the eggs, kneading the dough, forming the different pasta shapes, and the best part will be taste-testing! Making pasta is a good way to show students the science behind food in a fun and delicious way!!

MNCS Nuts + Bolts has rented the St. Peter outdoor pool for MNCS students, staff, and families to enjoy on Friday, July 29 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. We know that having students from so many different communities means that kids don't always get a chance to see one another during the summer, so we try to have a fun activity for people in the summer.
What: MNCS Summer Pool Reunion
Where: Roy T. Lindenberg Memorial Outdoor Pool in St. Peter (300 North 4th Street)
When: Friday, July 29th 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
All MNCS students, staff, and family members can come to enjoy the pool! Bring a treat to share. Your favorite inflatable toys are welcome, too!

Cup Stacking Challenge!
Some MNCS Elementary students yesterday participated in a project which involved teamwork and brainstorming. The challenge: to build the tallest tower possible! Students started with just cups and began stacking them a variety of ways. Then they were given more items such as pencils and tape to re-analyze and adjust their structures. It has been fun for students to continue working collaboratively with each other this summer and to promote creative learning!

Today is the first day of MNCS Summer Enrichment! The theme for our younger students this week is camping. Students started off the day with learning how to assemble a tent & teamwork! This week will incorporate a variety of fun learning components related to camping and students are sure to have a great time!

Food Share tomorrow at 4pm!
