Flag Ceremony at MNCS High School honoring our nation's 250th Anniversary. Local Veterans from the Henderson American Legion donated the flag and organized the ceremony. Two students also participated and helped with taking down and folding the previous flag as the new flag was put up. Our country's 250th birthday is commemorated on this new flag showcasing 13 stars and the number 250 in the center to signify the endurance of American independence over 250 years. Happy Birthday America!

MNCS School Board is Seeking Candidates for 2026 Election
A symbolic piece of America's birthday was raised at MNCS Elementary this past Monday during a flag ceremony honoring our nation's 250th Anniversary. We were joined with some very special guests from our local Henderson American Legion. Thank you for coming to visit with us Sven, Ned, and Dean and for your service and dedication to our country. All students and staff were in attendance in observance of this historic moment. Two students also participated and helped with taking down and folding the previous flag as the new flag was put up. Our country's 250th birthday is commemorated on this new flag showcasing 13 stars and the number 250 in the center to signify the endurance of American independence over 250 years. The flag will fly of honor built and remembrance for all those that sacrificed and served our country, and to those that continue to serve today - we thank you. Happy 250th Birthday America!

Give to the Max day is TODAY!!! Thursday, Nov. 20th, 2025. Please consider donating to MNCS - see link below!!!

https://www.givemn.org/organization/Minnesota-New-Country-School

Give to the Max Day
Give to the Max started in 2009 as a one-time campaign to mark the launch of GiveMN.org, Minnesota's digital home for generosity. The results of that day—$14 million raised in just 24 hours—blew everyone's expectations out of the water, and a new Minnesota tradition was born. In fact, Give to the Max was one of the nation's first online giving days and now serves as a national model for giving days across the country. In the years since, nearly one million donors have given more than $355 million to 14,000 nonprofits and schools as part of Minnesota's giving holiday.

Mark your calendars—Give to the Max Day returns for a 17th year on Thursday, November 20, 2025, with Early Giving beginning on November 1. Visit GiveMN.org during that time to follow along with totals, see prize winners, and have your generosity counted as part of this year's campaign.

Give to the Max Day Results: 2009 - 2024
Over the last 16 years of Give to the Max Day, donors have given more than $355 million to more than 14,000 nonprofits and schools! Below, see the year-by-year results of Minnesota's giving holiday.

The Total Raised number for Give to the Max represents the total donations processed, total prizes awarded, eligible matching gifts utilized, and other Give to the Max gifts reported to GiveMN by organizations that conducted giving days during the event period with inspiration from Give to the Max Day.

Today during our fire drill we had a special guest! Henderson's Chief of Police was here to observe the MNCS fire drill and help test times and procedures, ensuring our school's swift response! Our students did a wonderful job! After the drill, students were able to ask the Chief of Police some questions and check out the squad car. Student's had a blast sitting in the back seat of the squad car and checking out the gear. We appreciate our local officers and their presence within our community and school!
