Nick has officially claimed the MNCS Advisory Belt from Dakota after a fierce, high stakes battle of Rock, Paper, Scissors. No training, no equipment, just nerves of steel and questionable hand gestures. Congratulations, Nick!

My name is Patty Gardner, the new nurse. I was born and raised in St. Peter and still reside there. I'm married, have three children and 4 grandchildren. I love spending time with my grandchildren and having family get together to BBQ and just "hang out". I enjoy walking, shopping, reading and meeting new people. I love being a nurse, I have worked in a clinic setting, nursing home, home care nursing and school. I love being a school nurse. I love meeting new kids and making their experience at school the best it can be. I want them to feel safe and enjoy their experience while in school. I'm excited for this year to make new friends, meet new students and make their day at school the best it can be!!!

Please welcome our new Paraprofessional at MNCS - Jacob Sparrow!! About Jacob: Well, I am a MNCS Alumni that has always seen MNCS as the best home I’ve ever had. I am honored that I was able to grow up in that environment and with the people at the school that I did. I am even more honored to be back at the school and be able to work with some of those same amazing people as colleagues, as well as the rest of the staff, most of which I just met. I was raised by a single mother who dragged me to the area so she could finish her masters at MNSU. At that time I started at MNCS as a 7th grader and instantly felt welcome and that I could do great things here. Some stuff about my personal life, I have the cutest dog in the world, not biased at all, a Wheaton Terrier named Autumn. I spend way to much time at the mall in Mankato. I love spending most my free time with friends and loved ones. And I love the Simpsons. The Simpsons live stream is dangerous for me. I even leave it on for my dog to watch when Im gone. I also am a bit of a star Trek and Doctor Who nerd. I am also a bit of a gamer. The Arkham series and Skyrim are some of my favorites. I cant believe I am able to come back to this wonderful school and help the kids here like all the staff did for me growing up

I am excited to join your community as a student advisor at the High School. From a young age my grandparents instilled a passion for exploration, conservation, inquiry and confidence to find my voice. As a parent and educator I want to help students find their voice, reach their goals and discover possibilities. I graduated from College of the Visual Arts in 1999 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts. From there I worked in outdoor education in northern MN, California and Michigan. Coming home I worked at Montessori school with little ones who taught me how busy they really are. I enjoyed and was privileged to teach art at Farview Park in Minneapolis. The students taught me resilience, kindness and the definition of community. I completed a Masters in Art education k-12 in 2025. At home my husband and I have a beautiful silly 8th grader. Becoming a parent I’ve learned how to support her, identify her needs, advocate for her education and watched her soar past goals becoming a wonderful person. I look forward to learning from all of you and your students, about your culture, traditions, ambitions and where you think your students need help. I am looking forward to returning all the energy teachers have brought to our family over the years. Enjoying Summer Days!
Let's give Joezet a huge MNCS Welcome!!!

My husband Darren (aka the Catfish Guru) and I own and operate a fishing guide business. And we have two cats: Samson and Bella Boo.
I enjoy trying new hobbies every year. This year, I am learning metal detecting and magnet fishing. I also enjoy gardening and cruising around on my Buddy moped.
As a School Counselor I love watching teens grow, gain confidence, and use the skills they learn through school counseling to make positive choices and create opportunities for their future.
I am excited to join a team of passionate educators who use their talents and expertise to make a direct impact on students' lives. I am also eager to experience and learn more about the unique approach of Minnesota New Country School.
Let's give Kerrie a huge MNCS welcome!!!!
